Massachusetts

Six Flags New England, Agawam (near Springfield, MA and Hartford, CT), MA

  • 2008 dates: Sept. 27, 28, Oct. 3-5, 10-12, 17-19, 24-26, 31, and Nov. 1 and 2
  • Cost: Included in Six Flags admission. Some haunted houses require an extra fee.
Other than the dates listed above, Six Flags New England's 2008 info was not available at the time I wrote this. The following is info from the 2007 event:

The park will present haunted houses such as Tombstone Terror-tory and Midnight Mansion, scare zones, and shows. It also offers the Wicked Woods, a haunted trail that snakes through the woods down to the banks of the Connecticut River. During the day, it will offer more family-friendly activities, including a trick-or-treat trail, a Looney Tunes costume party, and a pumpkin patch.

Missouri

Six Flags St. Louis, Eureka (near...come on, you know what city it's near), MO

  • 2008 dates: Oct. 3-5, 10-12, 17-19, 24-26, and 31
  • Cost: Included in Six Flags admission.
Haunts will include the Mansion of Terror haunted house and the Terror Train. A Wheel of Fright will allow guests to win prizes by eating gross items. The park will offer special activities for younger kids, including trick-or-treating, crafts, storytelling, and "Pumpkin Idol." Fright Fest may also include features similar to last year's event such as a nightly BOOrade procession, a monster party, The Klone of Rock-n-Roll, and Jim Mackenzie's Intrepid Comedy Sideshow Spectacular.

New Jersey

Six Flags Great Adventure, Jackson (southern part of the state, near the shore), NJ

  • 2008 dates: Oct. 4, 5, 10-12, 17-19, 24-26, 31, and Nov. 1 and 2
  • Cost: Included in Six Flags admission.
Other than the dates listed above, Great Adventure's 2008 info was not available at the time I wrote this. The following is info from the 2007 event:

Fright Fest will kick off its evening activities with The A-WAKEning, a funeral procession. The event will feature Movietown Cemetary Statue Garden, where the statues will come to life and five haunted trails, including Circus Psycho and Bone Butcher Terror-Tory. Shows will include a hypnotist, the Menagerie of Oddities, and Psycho Slideshow (a PowerPoint presentation gone MAD?). During the day, Great Adventure will present a costume parade, Professor Slither's Creepy Critters (real bats, rats, and other creepy animals), a trick-or-treat trail, and other activities for younger kids.

New York

The Great Escape, Queensbury (near Lake George), NY

  • 2008 dates: Sept. 27, 28, Oct. 4, 5, 11-13, 18, 19, 25, 26, 31, and Nov. 1 and 2
  • Cost: Included in The Great Escape admission.
Other than the dates listed above, The Great Escape's 2008 info was not available at the time I wrote this. The following is info from the 2007 event:

The park will present a blood drive in conjunction with Fright Fest on October 1. The event will feature Skull Manor, a haunted house, and Hanging of a Witch, an extreme illusion show. Less spooky offerings will include Doc Swan's Psycho Sideshow, a screaming contest, a trick-or-treat trail, and the magic show, Medusa's Survival Test.

Texas

Six Flags Fiesta Texas, San Antonio, TX

  • 2008 dates: Oct. 4, 5, 11, 12, 17-19, 24-26, 31, and Nov. 1 and 2
  • Cost: Included in Six Flags admission. For past events, the haunted house has required an extra fee.
Other than the dates listed above, Fiesta Texas' 2008 info was not available at the time I wrote this. The following is info from the 2007 event:

Attractions will include the shows, Mayor Slayer's Monster Mash Bash, Last Chance Legends, and Wolfman Hack's Creature Feature. Mr. Slithers Creepy Critters will offer live snakes. For younger kids, there'll be trick-or-treating, storytime, pumpkin paitning, and other special activities.

Six Flags Over Texas, Arlington (near Dallas), TX

  • 2008 dates: Oct. 3-5, 10-12, 17-19, 24-26, 31, and Nov. 1 and 2
  • Cost: Included in Six Flags admission, with the exception of the haunted houses.
Haunted houses will include The Texas House of Wax, the Hollywood-themed Studio 13, Skullduggery-The Haunting of Skull Island, and Bloody Mary's Circus of Fear. Fright Fest shows will feature Welcome to Arania's Nightmare, Dance macabre 2008, WBAT Fright Time, the rock band Howl, and The Final Freak Out, an end-of-the-night presentation. For younger kids, the park will offer trick-or-treating at Looney Tunes Spooky Town.

Quebec, Canada

La Ronde, Montreal

  • Dates: Oct. 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, 26, and 31
  • Cost: Included in La Ronde admission.
Not much info was available as I wrote this, but the 2008 Fright Fest should be like past events, which have included a haunted house as well as vampires, zombies, witches, giant rats, bizarre characters, and stiltwalkers.
